🏥 What You’ll Do

As an ED RN, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical needs while collaborating closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuously evaluate patient health status.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
  • Provide direct nursing care, treatments, and therapies that support patient recovery and well-being.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and evaluate ongoing care plans.
  • Provide patient and family health education and counseling.
  • Execute delegated medical functions within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Recognize when patients require additional evaluation or treatment and facilitate appropriate referrals.
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize available resources appropriately to support safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain professional standards and contribute to a positive patient-care environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


🔄 Flexible Shift Placement

This position offers varied ED scheduling, with travelers potentially placed on:

  • 🌙Night Shift
  • 🌆Mid Shift
  • ☀️Day Shift

Shift placement will be based on current department staffing needs, making flexibility an important part of this opportunity.

You may also be required to float to other departments within your scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs and may be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift when required.


📋 Requirements

Required:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • ASN/Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BLS – American Heart Association certification.
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • TNCC certification
  • 1–2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience

Preferred:

  • BSN/Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Specialty certification appropriate to the unit/service.
  • Additional relevant emergency nursing experience.
