Description

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • BLS and ACLS via AHA required.
  • KS state license or multistate license required.
  • All Required Licensure and Certs will be due AT time of submission.
  • No pending certs or licenses will be allowed!!
  • No hits on license, NO exceptions.
  • TRUE Interview Availability MUST be on the profile at time of submission.
  • EMR: Epic.
  • The ideal candidate will:
    • Be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight
    • Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and remain efficient in a dynamic, high-volume environment
    • Have experience managing cardiac and anticoagulant drips, for example Cardizem and Heparin

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Start date is firm either 10/05 or 10/12 start.
  • Shifts will be 36 hrs/week.
  • Hours will be 7a-7p.
  • Holidays will be required as needed.
  • May be required to float to other units.
  • No Call required.
  • Compliance due date for a 10/12/2026 start will be Thursday 10/01/2026.

  • This is an award-winning Level II Trauma Center in Topeka, Kansas!
  • We are seeking candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, short-term acute care environment that manages a wide variety of patient diagnoses.
  • The Admissions Pending Unit (APU) is designed for rapid patient throughput, with an ideal length of stay of 4 hours or less.
  • During this time, nurses are responsible for:
    • Initiating admission orders
    • Completing the admission navigator
    • Documenting the initial admission assessment
  • We are looking for individuals who thrive in a setting that requires strong time management, clinical judgment, and flexibility to support rapid patient progression through the admission process.
