Description

Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Ambulatory Registered Nurse (Oncology RN) – Day Shift

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 07:30 – 18:00 | 40 Hours Per Week
    • Work Schedule: Rotating weekday off between Monday and Wednesday (No block scheduling modifications).
    • Orientation Note: 16 non-billable orientation hours (NBO).
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract | 4 Open Positions | Job ID: 3453307
  • Location Region: Virginia (VA) | Local Candidates Accepted (Locals permitted at standard bill rate)

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Certification & Specialty Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Provider Card / Certification strictly required [HARDSTOP]. Minimum 1+ years of dedicated chemotherapy administration and outpatient/inpatient oncology clinical RN experience required [HARDSTOP]. First-time travelers accepted.
  • Clinical Skill Set & Cytotoxic Safety [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical competence in safe handling, administration (IV push, continuous infusion, oral), and monitoring of antineoplastic agents and biotherapies [HARDSTOP]. Must be expert in central line access/management (ports, PICCs), cytotoxic spill management/disposal, post-chemotherapy body fluid precautions, neutropenic protocols, and oncologic symptom management.
  • EMR Proficiency [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR strictly required — NO EXCEPTIONS [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active Virginia State RN License or multi-state eNLC Compact RN License [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate [HARDSTOP].
    • Active OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) credential preferred.
