Assignment Details
- Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Radius rule: must live 50+ miles away to be considered
Job Summary
Performs routine and advanced cardiac imaging studies for inpatients and outpatients, along with associated clerical duties. Procedures may be performed on patients ranging from neonatal through geriatric, across the lab, bedside, ICU, ED, and OR.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic and advanced cardiac imaging procedures
- Performs adult and/or pediatric cardiac ultrasound, including TEE (transesophageal echo) and stress echo
- Performs peripheral vascular procedures, including arterial and/or vascular ultrasound studies
- Assists physicians with complex structural procedures to reduce procedural risk, including TAVR, SAVR, TandemHeart, LARIAT procedures, and pseudoaneurysm compression
- Operates the echocardiography ultrasound system and all transducers
- Exercises judgment in notifying physicians of abnormal results and reporting findings
- Maintains accurate documentation and departmental tracking for all procedures
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent, plus completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT required
- Current State/District license required
- RDCS or RCS required
- ARDMS cardiac echo certification required
- BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in basic and advanced cardiac imaging procedures
