Description
Title: Medical Lab Technician (MLT/MLS)
Location: Columbus, OH 43205
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night – 3x12s (6:30 PM–7:00 AM), Friday–Sunday
Block schedule available
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- ASCP MLT/MLS or AMT certification accepted
- Recent/proficient Epic experience required
- Travel experience preferred
- First-time travelers considered with prior laboratory experience and good standing at previous employer
- Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only
Description:
- Perform routine automated and manual laboratory procedures across Chemistry, Immunochemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Transfusion Services, and body fluid/CSF testing.
- Process specimens, perform quality control/quality assurance, monitor instrumentation, troubleshoot specimen issues, and accurately report results.
- Manage critical value reporting, delta checks, laboratory documentation, instrument maintenance, and communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
