Position Overview:
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to join the Scottish Rite Radiology team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic imaging experience, excellent patient-care skills, and prior travel experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures safely and accurately according to physician orders and department protocols.
- Provide quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Properly position patients and operate radiographic equipment.
- Follow radiation safety standards and applicable facility policies.
- Maintain accurate imaging and patient documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adapt to a pediatric healthcare environment and provide compassionate patient care.
- Float to other appropriate areas as required.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray experience – Required
- Current ARRT Certification – Required
- Current BLS Certification – Required
- Prior Travel Experience – Required
- Current X-Ray Skills Checklist matching specialty – Required
- 2 recent X-Ray Supervisor/Manager references – Required
- Up-to-date resume documenting 2+ years of X-Ray experience and travel experience – Required
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted at the time of submission
Schedule:
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours/week
- No on-call requirement
- Floating required
Important Facility Requirements:
- Nicotine-Free Facility: Candidates will be required to complete nicotine testing in addition to the standard drug screen.
- Flu Vaccination Required: CHOA requires the flu vaccination during flu season. No exemptions will be accepted, including medical or religious exemptions.
- Candidates must be prepared to meet all facility onboarding and credentialing requirements.
Overtime:
- Daily OT after 24 hours
- Weekly OT after 48 hours
- Based on applicable contract multiplier.
