Position Overview:

Haskell Indian Health Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care in a clinical healthcare setting. The LPN will work closely with providers and other members of the healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established nursing standards, physician orders, and individualized care plans.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs and overall patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patients for responses and potential adverse reactions.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and other clinical interventions as needed.
• Perform wound care and other routine nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, health conditions, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, nursing interventions, and patient responses.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate provider or healthcare professional.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Current and active Kansas LPN license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Must be able to commit to the full 26-week contract and scheduled day shift, Monday–Friday.

License and Certification:

Must have recent 2 years of experience

BLS from AHA only
