Description

308-bed acute-care hospital in Tacoma and has an active travel-nurse presence. Current traveler listings also show L&D/LDRP contracts at the facility, including night assignments.

First-time travelers: I would not target this as a first-time traveler given the acuity and 48-hour schedule.

What makes this one attractive

This isn't a quiet community L&D assignment. Tacoma General's L&D has been described by a recent traveler as high-volume, high-risk OB, with a significant amount of LDRP because postpartum capacity is relatively small for the volume. That traveler specifically mentioned antepartum, labor, high-risk OB and adherence to AWHONN practices, and said they extended their assignment and would return.
