The LPN provides compassionate, safe, and quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of an RN, physician, or other authorized healthcare professional. The role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, assisting with daily care, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and monitor patients’ health conditions.
• Check and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Perform wound care, dressings, and other procedures within the scope of practice.
• Collect specimens and assist with diagnostic procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Communicate patient conditions and changes to the RN or physician.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and basic health practices.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and healthcare facility policies.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Respond appropriately to patient emergencies and changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in the applicable state/jurisdiction.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good clinical judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Work Environment

• Hospital, clinic, nursing home, rehabilitation center, home healthcare, or other healthcare settings.
• May require shift work, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of standing or walking.
