🔥 48-HOUR NIGHT-SHIFT TRAUMA NEURO SURGICAL ICU RN CONTRACT – ASCENSION ST. VINCENT INDIANAPOLIS

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week (up to 16-week) travel contract opening for an experienced Trauma / Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Operating within the high-acuity Trauma Neuro Surgical ICU at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis—a premier Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence, Transplant Center, and Regional Burn Center—this high-earning position features an approved 48-hour overnight schedule (4x12-Hours, 19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! If you are an acute critical care nurse skilled in multi-system trauma resuscitations, EVDs, intracranial pressure monitoring, and complex neurosurgical recovery looking to maximize earnings at $3,139/week, this premier Indiana contract is built for you!

  • Weekly Gross: $3,139.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,267.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $36.00/hr (40 regular hours)
  • Overtime Rate: $54.00/hr (8 weekly OT hours included)

đź“… SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 4x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 48 total hours weekly (40 regular hours + 8 overtime hours). Contracts of 13 to 16 weeks approved for September/fall starts.
  • On-Call Requirements: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
  • Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation; holidays per departmental need.
  • Acuity & Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Strict 2:1 ratio (1:1 for unstable resuscitations/devices).
  • Clinical Scope & Patient Population: High-velocity motor vehicle collisions (MVC), gunshot wounds (GSW), severe stab wounds, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), complex falls, post-craniotomies, aneurysm ruptures, subarachnoid hemorrhages, and acute ischemic/hemorrhagic CVAs.
  • Advanced Monitoring & Devices: Management of External Ventricular Drains (EVDs), ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, continuous vasoactive/sedation titrations, arterial lines, central lines, and mechanical ventilation.
  • EMR & Uniform: Sunrise EMR; Scrub color is Royal Blue.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated acute care Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, or Surgical ICU (SICU) experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
  • Licensure: Active Indiana RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License in hand at submittal.
  • Certifications Required:
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
  • Onboarding Testing: Standard Ascension critical care testing package (Pharmacology, Specialty Exam, EKG exam, Core Competencies, and Skills Checklist).
