🔥 NIGHT-SHIFT MED/SURG RN CONTRACT – ASCENSION ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL
First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Operating within the acute inpatient medical/surgical unit at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital, this position features a structured 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! If you are an acute care RN proficient in multi-system medical admissions, surgical post-op management, telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation, and Epic EMR looking to earn $2,324/week with maximum tax-free stipends, this Wisconsin contract is built for you!
💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $2,324.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,568.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $21.00/hr (36 regular hours)
- Overtime Rate: $31.50/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:30 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Block scheduling is not offered.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: NO ON-CALL REQUIRED!
- Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) rotation.
- Department & Unit: Med Surg Unit 001 (20330).
- Clinical Scope & Patient Care: Managing acute medical diagnoses, pre/post-operative surgical recovery, chronic disease exacerbations (COPD, diabetes, CHF, renal failure), infection protocols, and wound care.
- Cardiac/Telemetry Competencies: Must be able to interpret basic cardiac rhythms and manage patients on telemetry monitoring.
- EMR System: Epic (Ascension Epic test-out required during onboarding).
- Floating Scope: Float on-site within clinical skill set, or to regional sister Ascension sites within 40 miles if operationally required.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 or more years of dedicated acute care Med/Surg RN experience. Prior travel experience is required.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License in hand at submittal.
- Certifications Required:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Testing & Onboarding: Ascension Specialty Exam, Core Competencies, EKG Exam, Skills Checklist, and Epic test-out.
