Job Description

Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide respiratory care and support to patients in a transitional care hospital setting.

Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Contract

Location: Norfolk, VA
Facility: Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital
Address: 1309 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA 23502
Pay Rate: $50–$55/hour
Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Extension: High chance to extend

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status
Provide respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered
Operate and monitor respiratory equipment
Assist with oxygen and ventilator-related care
Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments
Document patient care and treatment accurately
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards

Requirements

Active Virginia Respiratory Therapist license
Current BLS/CPR certification
Respiratory therapy experience required
Strong clinical and communication skills
Ability to work a 40-hour weekly schedule
Must meet facility and compliance requirements
