Description

Certified Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech (CST / ST) – Day/Evening Shift

  • Schedule: Day/Evening Shifts | 4x10-Hour or 4x8-Hour Shifts | 06:40–17:10, 06:40–15:10, or 09:10–17:40 | Monday – Friday
    • Weekend & Call Protocol: No weekends, no call, no holidays.
    • RTO Protocol: Maximum 1 pre-approved time off request allowed per contract.
    • Orientation Note: 40 orientation hours (20 non-billable orientation hours).
    • Vaccine Policy: Flu vaccine required (Medical/Religious exemptions only).

  • Location Region: Madison, Wisconsin (WI) | Teaching Hospital Environment

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience & Education Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Surgical Technologist scrub experience required [HARDSTOP]. Must have successfully completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program (or 2+ years of direct ST experience in lieu of program completion) [HARDSTOP]. First-time travelers accepted.
  • Clinical Specialty Scope [HARDSTOP]: Direct scrub proficiency across Outpatient / Ambulatory surgical specialties: General Surgery, GYN, Plastics, Oral/Facial, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Urology, Endoscopy, and Bariatrics [HARDSTOP]. Profiles missing required core skills will be automatically redirected/rejected.
  • Technical & Instrument Competency [HARDSTOP]: Masterful adherence to aseptic technique, sterile processing (assembly/wrap), care of fiber-optic scopes, surgical drills, electrosurgical units, and Universal Protocol (Time-Out) procedures [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — AHA ONLY) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist — NBSTSA) certification preferred.
  • EMR Proficiency: Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
