Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week acute care contract opportunity in Topeka, Kansas.

The pharmacist will support inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication verification and dispensing, clinical dosing, IV medication preparation, therapeutic monitoring, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
Inpatient / Acute Care pharmacy experience
Active Kansas Pharmacist License – must be in hand at submission
PharmD
RPh
BLS
ACLS
Epic experience required
Teaching and/or community hospital experience preferred
Strong IV preparation and sterile technique experience

⚠️ License and required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission.

Key Skills

Pharmacokinetic and renal dosing
Anticoagulation / Warfarin dosing
Therapeutic drug monitoring
High-alert medications
Pediatric dosing
IV preparation and sterile technique
IV push medications
Medication dispensing systems
Pyxis experience preferred

Assignment Details

Schedule: 5x8-hour Day shifts
Shift times may vary based on department needs
Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
Approximately 4 weekends / 8 weekend shifts during the contract
One pre-approved RTO request
Patient population ranges from neonates and pediatrics through adults and geriatrics
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
