Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week acute care contract opportunity in Topeka, Kansas.
The pharmacist will support inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication verification and dispensing, clinical dosing, IV medication preparation, therapeutic monitoring, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
- Inpatient / Acute Care pharmacy experience
- Active Kansas Pharmacist License – must be in hand at submission
- PharmD
- RPh
- BLS
- ACLS
- Epic experience required
- Teaching and/or community hospital experience preferred
- Strong IV preparation and sterile technique experience
⚠️ License and required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission.

- Pharmacokinetic and renal dosing
- Anticoagulation / Warfarin dosing
- Therapeutic drug monitoring
- High-alert medications
- Pediatric dosing
- IV preparation and sterile technique

- Pyxis experience preferred
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 5x8-hour Day shifts
- Shift times may vary based on department needs
- Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
- Approximately 4 weekends / 8 weekend shifts during the contract
- One pre-approved RTO request
- Patient population ranges from neonates and pediatrics through adults and geriatrics
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
