Travel Paramedic – Aspirus Divine Savior

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview

Aspirus Divine Savior in Portage, WI is seeking an experienced Paramedic to provide basic and advanced life support, patient assessment, treatment, stabilization, and ongoing care.

The Paramedic will work collaboratively with physicians, RNs, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals while exercising independent clinical judgment and responding to life-threatening conditions.

Schedule

• 48 guaranteed hours per week
• If working a 24-hour base: 2 × 24-hour shifts per week
• If working 12-hour shifts: 4 scheduled 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend as needed
• Weekend days are included in the scheduled rotation
• Holidays as needed and available
• No on-call requirement
• May float to other locations in the North and Central regions based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Paramedic experience required
• 3 years preferred
• High school diploma/equivalent
• Successful completion of an EMS Paramedic program
• Associate degree or Paramedic certificate
• Active Wisconsin EMT-Paramedic certification
• Active Wisconsin driver's license in good standing
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Wisconsin CCP (Critical Care Paramedic) endorsement preferred
• Michigan Paramedic certification required
  • Candidates with NREMT-P may be eligible for reciprocity to obtain Michigan Paramedic licensure

Radius Rule

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced life support treatment and care
• Assess, evaluate, and stabilize ill or injured patients
• Monitor and document patient condition and treatment
• Obtain vital signs and patient information
• Initiate interventions according to established protocols
• Assist with provider- or RN-directed treatments and testing
• Recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions
• Communicate patient condition and treatment to the appropriate care team
• Work within hospital and professional scope of practice
• Exercise independent judgment and strong clinical decision-making
