Compensation & Schedule Details

• Hours & Shift: 12-hour shifts (Days: 0700–1900 / Nights: 1900–0700). Target start date: September 10, 2026.
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both days and nights). Holidays are worked into the regular staff rotation schedule.
• Radius Rule: Strict 50-mile radius rule—ALL submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license.

Key Facility Policies & Float Pool Scope

• Float Pool Assignment: Float Pool RNs report to the clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start for unit assignment. Will be assigned a "parent unit" and float among 6 units (most frequently 6N [36 beds], 7N [29 beds], 4N [36 beds], 5S [36 beds], 6S [36 beds], and Critical Care [20 beds]). Assigned very basic telemetry patients within scope.
• Patient Ratios & Staffing: Generally 1:5 to 1:6 for both days and nights (may occasionally reach 7 toward the end of a shift based on acuity). CNAs utilized on all units. Day charge nurses do not take patients; night charge nurses take an assignment.
• Telemetry & Drips: Phillips telemetry monitors; most units have monitor techs, but RNs must be able to read and interpret strips. RNs will not have to titrate drips. CPAP and BiPAP managed by RT.
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs required.
• Orientation: 1–2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Common patient diagnoses include CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, ortho, and oncology (permanent staff administer chemo).
• Licensure: Active West Virginia (WV) RN license or multi-state compact RN license in hand.
• Certifications & Testing: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS strictly required at submittal. Must take and pass a cardiac rhythm exam upon onboarding (expected for RNs with ACLS).
