Schedule: Nights, 7 PM–7 AM, 3×12s
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holiday: Every other holiday
Travel: First-time travelers accepted

Experience Needed

• 2+ year RN experience
• Behavioral Health/Psychiatric experience
• Inpatient behavioral health experience
• Experience with crisis intervention & de-escalation
• Medication administration, including antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, etc.
• Experience with suicidal/self-injurious behavior, schizophrenia, bipolar, depression, anxiety, etc.
• Seclusion/restraint protocols
• Emergency/CPR experience
• Charge experience preferred
• Float required

License & Certifications

• Active PA RN license in hand at submission — REQUIRED
• BLS — REQUIRED
• CCM — REQUIRED

Documents Needed

• Updated resume
• PA RN license
• BLS

• 1 supervisory reference from within the past year
• Employment history, including any previous permanent/per diem employment with Penn Highlands
• Required credentialing/background documents
• PA fingerprinting
• ChildLine clearance
• Lab work

Important Credentialing

• PA fingerprinting + ChildLine must be started within 48 hours of signing
• Fingerprinting must generally be completed in Pennsylvania
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing
• Previous Penn Highlands permanent/per diem staff must be away for 18 months before returning as a traveler.
