Description
We are looking for an experienced Endoscopy RN to join the team and provide safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care.
Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after endoscopy procedures.
Assist physicians with procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and other GI procedures.
Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation/anesthesia and recognize changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and sedation as ordered and monitor patient response.
Maintain patient safety and follow infection-control and sterile/clean procedure standards.
Monitor vital signs, airway, cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, and level of consciousness.
Provide post-procedure recovery and discharge instructions.
Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and complications during procedures.
Work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia providers, technicians, and other members of the procedural team.
Required Qualifications:
Active California RN License
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Previous Endoscopy/GI procedural nursing experience is strongly preferred.
