Medical/Surgical RN – UP Health System Marquette

Location: Marquette, MI
Facility: UP Health System – Marquette
Specialty: Medical/Surgical RN
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12 Nights
Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Requirements

Active Michigan RN License required at submission
ACLS required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Medical/Surgical experience preferred
Must have strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently in a stressful environment
Travel candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility
Local candidates accepted at $48/hr
Occasional floating to a like unit
Rotating weekends
Cerner experience/familiarity

Unit Details

225-bed specialty care hospital
Acute Medical/Surgical unit
Patient ratio: 5:1 to 6:1
Patient population: Adult & geriatric
EHR: Cerner
Equipment includes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
Trauma Level II
Orientation is bi-weekly
Manager may consider 48 guaranteed hours and block scheduling, if possible

Scrub Color

Galaxy Blue — Navy is also acceptable.
