Description

Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Carmel
Location: Carmel, IN
Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract: 13 weeks

Unit / OR Details

Surgery department with 10 ORs
Wide variety of specialties:
- Bariatrics
- Plastics
- Robotics
- Orthopedics
- Spine
Robotics, spine, and/or ortho scrubbing experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare OR with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies
Scrub and pass instruments/supplies to the surgeon
Assist with patient preparation, transport, positioning, and draping
Maintain organized instruments and perform/monitor instrument counts
Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
Follow Standard Precautions and PPE requirements

Required Certifications

BLS — AHA or Red Cross; must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer
One CST credential required:
- NCCT Surgical Technologist, OR
- NBSTSA Surgical Technologist

Education / Experience

High school diploma/equivalency + 2 years cumulative experience, OR
Associate's/Technical degree, OR
4 years applicable job-specific experience
