Description
Emergency Department RN – PM/Night Rotation
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Shift: Rotating evenings and nights
Weekends: Every third weekend
Interview: Unit manager will call qualified candidates directly
Patient Population: Primarily adults
Required Experience
- Recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Telemetry competency
- Cardiac-rhythm interpretation skills
- Strong emergency assessment, triage and prioritization abilities
- Ability to manage high-acuity and rapidly changing patients
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments
- Prioritize care based on patient acuity
- Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans
- Monitor telemetry and recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and emergency treatments
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
- Provide patient and family education
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
