Description
Requirements:
• 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience
• NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required
• BLS & ACLS required
• NRP, PALS & PEARS preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; Master’s preferred
• 3 years of technical experience preferred
• Current state-required license/credentials
• EPIC experience required
• Cerner experience required for this assignment
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and document respiratory care needs and prescribed therapies
• Administer aerosol and oxygen therapy
• Provide care to ventilator patients
• Draw and analyze ABGs according to policy/order
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation and patient records
• Assist with respiratory emergencies and advanced airway/ventilator management
• Participate in department operations, training, and onboarding of new staff
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient care

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
