Description

Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Shelby North Carolina 28150

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36

Shift Information: 1900 - 0700 Friday, Sat, Sun PMs. ED/IP mainly work independently.


Clinical Interviewing- No

On Call, Call Back Requirements: Generally, don't require call

Weekend Rotation: Weekend position

Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: Will float between Cleveland (Main) Hospital and the Outpatient clinic Cleveland Advanced Imaging Center, as needed


About Facility:

  • 241 licensed beds
  • Level 3 Trauma
  • May see Radiology students
  • Certified Chest Pain Center
  • Stroke Center

Department Information: Average across departments - 250-300 patients per day

Minimum Years of Experience required 1 year: 

  • Will you accept a first-time traveler:  No

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Cancer, Stroke, Covid, Flu, RSV, Heart attack

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

  • All modalities will require photo ID – collected during compliance process
  • NC State Licensure is not required
  • Rad Tech: BLS; ARRT(R)
  • CT Tech: BLS; ARRT(CT)
  • MRI Tech: BLS; ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
  • US Tech: BLS; ARDMS (no specific anatomy cert required) or ARRT
  • Nuc Med Tech: BLS; ARRT-N or NMTCB

Skills required:

  • All departments: Fast learner, multitasker
  • Ultrasound – must have Vascular experience

Support within the Department:  Depends on the shift

Technology/Equipment:  EMR: EPICo Department specific Equipment:

  • Radiology: Philips, Client, Shimadzu, OEC
  • CT: Siemens, Client
  • MRI: Client Artist
  • Ultrasound: Siemens Sequoia, P2000
  • Nuc Med: Client
  • Mammo: Hologic

Floating:  Will float between Cleveland (Main) Hospital and the Outpatient clinic Cleveland Advanced Imaging Center, as needed

Orientation (facility and unit):

  • Orientation modules paperwork will take at least 1 day
  • 2 days departmental

Scheduling:

  • Weekend rotation: will work weekends as needed, no clear rotation
  • On call:  If so, what is that schedule Generally, don t require call
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: Manager approval
  • Shift times: Depends on requisition being filled
  • Schedule cycle: every 13 weeks
