Position Details:

• Specialty: Med/Surg / Telemetry RN
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Start: ASAP
• Shifts:
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts × 4 days/week
• Hours: Up to 48 hours/week
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Payroll: Bi-weekly
• Work Week: Sunday – Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor patients requiring telemetry/cardiac monitoring and promptly recognize and report significant rhythm or condition changes.
• Perform medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and other routine nursing procedures within scope of practice.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and fall-prevention standards.
• Prioritize and manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient acuity and emergency situations.
• Follow facility policies, nursing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Facility Terms:

• Orientation: Billable
• Overtime: 1.5× for travel nurses working over 48 hours/week
• Call-Back: 1.5×
• On-Call Rate: $2.05/hour
• Holiday: 1.5×
• Payroll: Bi-weekly

Holiday Observance:

The following holidays are billed at 1.5× the straight-time bill rate from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM:

• New Year's Day
• Memorial Day
• July 4th
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates should have strong Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, be comfortable working 12-hour shifts, and have the ability to manage multiple patients while providing safe, timely, and compassionate care in an acute-care hospital setting.
