Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Med/Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurses for an ASAP 8-week travel assignment. The position offers 12-hour day or night shifts and requires nurses who are comfortable caring for a diverse acute-care patient population.
 

Assignment Details:

• Specialty: Med/Surg / Telemetry
• Contract: 8 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift Options: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Schedule: 4 × 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Hours: 48 hours
• Work Week: Sunday–Saturday
• Payroll: Bi-weekly
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions.
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythms or patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.
• Manage multiple patients while prioritizing care according to acuity and clinical needs.
• Perform wound care, medication administration, IV-related procedures, and other nursing interventions as required.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient education.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Follow infection-control procedures, patient-safety practices, and facility policies.
• Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.

Additional Assignment Information

• Orientation: Billable
• OT: 1.5× after 48 hours/week
• Call-Back: 1.5×
• On-Call: $2.05/hour
• Holiday: 1.5×
• Orientation: Billable
• Payroll: Bi-weekly

Holiday Rate Applies To: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Candidate Requirements

• Active RN license applicable to the assignment
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Strong Med/Surg and Telemetry experience
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
• Ability to manage multiple patients in an acute-care environment
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills
