Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN)

Location: Valley View Hospital, Glenwood Springs, Colorado (1906 Blake Ave)

Compensation & Schedule Details

  • Hours & Shift: Night shift (36 hours per week / three 12-hour shifts) with rotating call and weekends. Target start date: October 6, 2026. Long-term assignment expected to run through approximately December 31, 2027.

Key Facility Policies & Submission Checklist

  • Facility Overview: Level III Trauma Hospital on the Western Slope of Colorado featuring a 13-bed ED with 2 trauma bays.
  • Mandatory Vaccination Policy: Mandatory flu vaccination required from October 1 through April 1 (no declinations accepted; proof of flu vaccine must be included with submission).
  • Required Submission Packet: Agencies must include a resume, copy of Nursys license verification, skills checklist, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certification, and proof of flu vaccination with every candidate submittal.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience required.
  • Licensure: Active Colorado (CO) RN license (or ability to obtain) in good standing, or a multi-state compact RN license in hand.
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and TNCC certification required strictly at submittal.

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
