Assignment: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4 × 9-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Start Times: Rotating between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM
Weekly Travel Pay: $2,758/week gross
Local Pay: $70/hour
Job Description:
Carle Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Endoscopy for a 13-week assignment in Champaign, IL. The RN will provide care to patients undergoing routine GI procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, while rotating through pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures
- Complete assessments and review health history
- Initiate IVs and provide patient education
- Monitor and sedate patients under physician direction
- Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care
- Assist CRNA during cases requiring anesthesia
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team
- Follow patient safety and nursing standards
- Float between the Champaign Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Department
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant RN experience
- Endoscopy/GI procedure experience
- Moderate sedation experience
- Patient assessment experience
- ASN required
- Active Illinois RN License
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
