Required Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license or eligible for Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year of Endovascular OR RNFA experience
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• Strong vascular anatomy, aseptic technique, exposure and hemostasis skills

Preferred:

• CNOR
• Surgical scrub experience

Procedures

The RNFA will assist with vascular and endovascular procedures, including:

• Amputations
• EVAR and TEVAR
• TCAR
• Open AAA repair
• Vascular bypass procedures

Department Details

• One traditional OR and one Endovascular OR
• Two rooms operate two days per week; one room operates on remaining days
• Ratio: One patient per case
• Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
• Stryker booms and surgical lights
• Standard OR equipment
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• May float to other OR units as needed

Responsibilities

• First-assist during endovascular procedures
• Circulate and/or scrub as required
• Perform perioperative assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, draping and exposure
• Use retractors, suction and sponging techniques appropriately
• Support hemostasis using manual techniques, instruments and approved agents
• Anticipate surgical anatomy, procedural steps and postoperative needs
• Maintain sterile technique and identify breaks in asepsis
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, circulators and ancillary departments
• Supervise team activities to promote procedure readiness and efficiency

Call and Weekend Coverage
