Shift Hours: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 guaranteed weekly hours)
Job Description & Unit Details
We are actively seeking an experienced Ortho/Neuro Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. You will be working on the 6 West Ortho/Neuro unit, a 34-bed floor caring for patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, post-op back surgeries, and hip fractures.
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Weekend Requirements: Every third Friday/Saturday, plus a minimum of 2 Sundays per schedule.
- Call Requirements: None.
- Floating: Required.
- Charting System: Epic
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, Pyxis
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs. Note: Nose rings are not allowed per facility policy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with explicit orthopedic and neurological background clearly listed on your resume.
- Licensure: Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact license in hand.
- Certifications: AHA BLS required at submittal (NIHSS preferred).

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
