Are you a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys health education, preventative care, and making a positive impact in the community? Join a dynamic Wellness Department where you'll help members improve their overall health through screenings, education, vaccinations, and outreach initiatives.

๐Ÿ’™ Responsibilities:

โœ… Perform health screenings and monitor acute and chronic conditions

๐Ÿฉบ Conduct blood pressure, glucose, A1C, lipid, BMI, and other wellness assessments

๐Ÿ’‰ Administer seasonal vaccinations and other immunizations

๐ŸŒ† Participate in Health Fairs and community outreach events throughout NYC and the surrounding boroughs

๐Ÿ“š Educate members in person, virtually, and over the phone on disease prevention, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices

๐Ÿ“Š Accurately document clinical data for reporting and statistical analysis

๐Ÿค Counsel members on available 1199SEIU health benefits and connect them with appropriate internal departments and community resources

๐Ÿ“ž Communicate with physicians and specialists regarding member care and follow-up

๐Ÿ“ Complete additional wellness initiatives and special projects as assigned

โœ… Qualifications:

โœ”๏ธ Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required

๐ŸŽ“ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

๐Ÿฅ Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Ambulatory Care, Community Health, or Medical-Surgical Nursing

๐Ÿง  Strong clinical assessment, patient education, motivational interviewing, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills

๐Ÿ’ป Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic documentation systems

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

๐ŸŒŽ Bilingual Spanish is a plus!

๐Ÿš— Valid NYS Driver's License preferred with the ability to travel throughout the New York Metropolitan area

๐Ÿ’ผ Ability to carry a laptop and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
