Looking for an experienced CVICU RN who is confident caring for complex cardiac and critical-care patients and is comfortable supporting the CCU as needed.
This opportunity is with a smaller independent hospital focused on providing high-quality care close to home, allowing community members to receive treatment without having to travel to a larger city.
Located along Colorado's scenic I-70 corridor between Denver and Grand Junction, this assignment offers the chance to combine meaningful critical-care work with an incredible Colorado lifestyle.
🫀 What You'll Be Doing
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU/CCU
- Utilize strong Day 0 CVICU experience and advanced critical-care skills
- Care for high-acuity cardiac patients and support patients requiring complex interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
- Work alongside a cardiac-services program supported by two Cath Labs, including a Hybrid Cath Lab
- Float/support the CCU as needed based on department requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic
- Participate in weekend rotation, holidays, and the unit's on-call rotation
📋 Requirements
- 3+ years of RN Critical Care experience – Required
- Strong CVICU experience – Required
- Day 0 CVICU experience – Required
- Current, active Colorado RN license in good standing
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- Strong cardiovascular and critical-care clinical skills
- Ability and willingness to work in both CVICU and CCU
📞 Call Requirement
Travelers must participate in the department's call rotation and be available for one call shift every two weeks, when requested due to staffing needs. The call shift may be scheduled in place of guaranteed hours during that week.
