ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Description

Job Overview:
ICU Registered Nurses provide specialized care to critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients in a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Closely monitor heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory status, and other vital signs.
Observe patients for changes in condition or signs of distress.
Provide direct nursing care and administer prescribed treatments and medications.
Monitor and document patient responses to care.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment and care.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.

Must-Haves:

Active RN license
ICU/critical care nursing experience
Experience caring for medical, surgical, and/or trauma patients
Strong patient monitoring and critical-care skills
BLS
RN State License
