Description

Specialty: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 8 hrs Days | 40 hrs/week
Contract: 13 weeks

Must-Haves

1+ year OT experience with acute care familiarity/experience
BLS
Current Alabama OT license
Experience with high-acuity acute-care patients
Able to independently evaluate, treat, and manage caseload
Strong teamwork, efficiency, and flexibility
Comfortable assisting with ADLs
Comfortable working with students in a teaching facility

Patient Population

High-acuity, complex acute-care patients
Cardiac/cardiovascular
Orthopedic/joint procedures
Trauma
Stroke

Schedule & Orientation

Typically, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No 10-hour shifts
Occasional weekends based on department needs
Day 1: Hospital orientation/modules
Day 2: Department training + Cerner refresher
Usually 1 week orientation
