📍 New York

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Utilization Review RN to support quality review, care coordination, regulatory compliance, and utilization review initiatives within a healthcare organization.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of non-acute utilization review experience along with strong knowledge of Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, chart auditing, clinical documentation, compliance, and patient safety. The original position also includes responsibility for care coordination chart audits, corrective action plans, incident and grievance review, quality reporting, and staff education.

✨ Key Responsibilities

🔹 Conduct independent medical record and chart reviews for quality, completeness, and regulatory compliance
🔹 Perform utilization review and evaluate clinical documentation
🔹 Identify documentation deficiencies and assist with developing and monitoring corrective action plans
🔹 Review and track incidents, grievances, complaints, and fair-hearing documentation
🔹 Monitor corrective-action reviews and escalate outstanding or clinically significant issues
🔹 Prepare quality metrics and identify trends in incidents and complaints
🔹 Participate in QAPI and Quality Improvement initiatives
🔹 Collaborate with nursing, care management, quality, and interdisciplinary teams
🔹 Support staff education and training related to quality and documentation standards
🔹 Assist with patient satisfaction data collection, analysis, and reporting
🔹 Maintain accurate documentation within the organization's Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

🎯 Required Qualifications

✅ Minimum 1 year of non-acute Utilization Review experience – REQUIRED
✅ Active New York State RN License – REQUIRED
✅ Primary Source Verification – REQUIRED
✅ AHA BLS – REQUIRED
✅ Strong clinical documentation and chart-review skills
✅ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
✅ Strong attention to detail

⭐ Preferred Experience

⭐ Additional RN clinical experience preferred
⭐ Quality Assurance / Quality Improvement experience
⭐ Patient Safety, Compliance, or Care Management experience
⭐ Experience with Epic Medical Record System
⭐ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
⭐ Tableau experience is a plus

💰 Pay: $60–$65/hour
⏳ Long-Term Contract
⚠️ 1+ year of non-acute Utilization Review experience is required.
