HIGHLIGHTS:

• 24 months of Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience in a hospital or medical center setting [required]
• neurology/neurosurgery care experience [required]
• ortho/orthopedic care experience [required]
• trauma care experience [highly preferred]
• EPIC EMR/electronic medical experience [required]
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 mos
• Drip Experience: Heparin, PCA, 3% Sodium/Na [required]
• EKG / Strip reading measuring / telemetry experience [required]
• de-escalation certificate - [preferred] -- CPI, MOAB, MAB or SAMA accepted
• Trauma level I experience [highly preferred]
• Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience [required]
• Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline (Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care) [required]
• Nursy s must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission [required] [document]

• Bed Size: 25 bed
• Patient Types: heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, ortho
• RN Ratios: 1:5 - 6
• Drips: Heparin, PCA's, 3% Na, no titration
• Specialty Equipment: telemetry, left equipment, chest tubes, airvo
• Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran Iowa Methodist

• Local Radius rule: No locals -- All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility (based on drivers license)
• Employee Separation Policy: Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply
• HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Weekend Description: Every other (48s) or 3rd weekend (36s)
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS (AHA)
