Position: MRI Tech

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM–8:00 PM
• Saturday–Sunday: 8:45 AM–5:15 PM
• Weekend work may be required based on department needs
• Block scheduling: Not accepted
• RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required

• 1+ year MRI experience
• ARMRIT OR ARRT(MR)
• BLS
• Epic/Excellian experience required
• Siemens MRI experience

MRI Skills

Experience with:

• Brain, spine, cervical, lumbar, thoracic
• Abdomen and chest
• Female & male pelvis
• MRA
• MRCP
• Face/neck and orbits
• Shoulder, hip, knee, hand, foot
• Upper/lower extremities
• Sacrum/coccyx
• TMJ
• Spinal trauma
• Contrast administration
• Starting peripheral IVs
• Siemens equipment

Equipment: Siemens Altea 1.5T

Important Submission Requirements

• DOB

• RTO
• 1 supervisor reference minimum
• License in hand preferred
• If no MN license, candidate must apply through the Aya MN licensing project after accepting an offer
• Each candidate can be submitted to only one position at a time

Local / Radius Rule

• Radiology locals are accepted
• Other positions have a 100-mile radius restriction

Compliance

• Compliance deadline: Monday before start
• Open background cases cannot proceed
• Background hits are reviewed during compliance
• Fingerprinting is required and can delay the start if results are not received on time
• Candidate may need to travel to a LiveScan location or Minnesota if one isn't available nearby

Other Important Notes

• COVID vaccine: Not required
• Flu vaccine: Unknown
• Parking: Free in unrestricted spaces
• Travelers receive a $150 stipend for completing pre-start modules
• Average pre-start modules: ~8 hours
• Onsite Epic/Excellian classes are billable
• Previous Allina permanent staff must be gone for 3 months from their last shift before traveling
• Allina does not provide references to travelers after assignment or former permanent employees

Main screening points: 1+ year MRI experience, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT, BLS, Epic/Excellian, Siemens experience, and willingness to work the required weekend rotation.
