Job Description:

Position: Adolescent Mental Health Counselor

Location: Hampstead, New Hampshire

Setting: Pediatric Psychiatric Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 7:00am-3:00pm
• 5x8-hour shifts
• Weekends required
• 40 hours per week

Travel Pay Package:

• $2,001 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Overview:

• Establish therapeutic relationships with adolescent psychiatric patients
• Facilitate and maintain a safe therapeutic environment within the psychiatric unit
• Provide patient care services ranging from basic to complex interventions
• Support treatment plans and patient behavioral goals
• Work with pediatric and adolescent mental health populations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams
• Assist in maintaining a structured and supportive treatment environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant mental health experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Bachelor's degree required
• BLS certification required
• CPI certification required
• Drug screen including THC required for clearance
• Experience working in behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred
• Ability to work with adolescent psychiatric patients in a therapeutic environment
