Description

Title: Registered Nurse – NICU
Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12 | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM |

Block Schedule Available

Requirements:

2+ years of NICU experience
Level III NICU experience preferred
Epic charting experience required
BLS and NRP Advanced required
Compact license must be in hand at submission, if applicable
Travel experience not required

Description:

Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level IV NICU.
Care for neonates with prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, HIE, and surgical conditions.
Manage IVs, central lines, UACs/UVCs, arterial lines, blood products, and neonatal medications.
Provide respiratory care including Bubble CPAP, HFNC, high-frequency ventilation, ventilators, nitric oxide, and oxygen delivery systems.
Perform neonatal assessments, APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, and neonatal dosage calculations.
Support feeding, breastfeeding, breast milk handling, and gavage feeding.
Provide developmental care and patient/family education.
May float to Pediatrics, PICU, or Pediatric ED as needed.
