Description

Title: Registered Nurse – NICU
Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: Nights | 3x12 | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | 

Block Schedule Available

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of NICU experience
  • Level III NICU experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • BLS and NRP Advanced required
  • Compact license must be in hand at submission, if applicable
  • Travel experience not required

Description:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level IV NICU.
  • Care for neonates with prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, HIE, and surgical conditions.
  • Manage IVs, central lines, UACs/UVCs, arterial lines, blood products, and neonatal medications.
  • Provide respiratory care including Bubble CPAP, HFNC, high-frequency ventilation, ventilators, nitric oxide, and oxygen delivery systems.
  • Perform neonatal assessments, APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, blood glucose monitoring, phototherapy, and neonatal dosage calculations.
  • Support feeding, breastfeeding, breast milk handling, and gavage feeding.
  • Provide developmental care and patient/family education.
  • May float to Pediatrics, PICU, or Pediatric ED as needed.
