Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- In-person coverage required in the hospital/unit
- No call coverage
Position Details
- Daytime hospitalist APP staffing need
- Average 8–10 patients per day
- Manage observation, inpatient floor, and intermediate/step-down level patients
- Respond to codes and rapid responses
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- Stabilize critically ill patients and arrange transfer to a tertiary-care facility when needed
Hospital Environment
- Small community hospital
- Friendly and supportive nursing staff
- Collegial relationship with the ED team and surgeons
- Strong case management support for medical patient discharges
- Strong overnight hospitalist MD team
Required Qualifications
- Acute Care APRN or Physician Assistant
- Required certifications for the applicable profession
- VT license or willingness to obtain
- 2–3 years of hospitalist/inpatient adult medicine experience preferred
- Clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues
