✨ Easy submission/offer — only 1 year of Psych RN experience in an acute psychiatric setting required
Assignment Details
- Start Date: 10/5
- Shift: 3×12s, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Schedule: Possibly every other weekend
- Blocked scheduling is not allowed
- Setting: Busy, fast-paced acute psychiatric hospital
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:12
- At least 2 nurses per unit; sometimes 1 RN + 1 LPN
Requirements
- 1 year of strong Psych RN experience required
- CPI Card / Handle With Care certification required
- Certification can be obtained on-site during orientation
- Must be comfortable floating between units
Patient Population
- Adults only
- Depression
- Suicidal patients
- Mental illness
- Detox
- Approximately 40% voluntary / 60% committed admissions
Responsibilities
- Medication administration
- Admissions & discharges
- Patient assessments (10–15 daily)
- Med cart management
- Floating between units as needed
