Description

ER RN – Job Requirements

Specialty: Emergency Room / ER RN
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 3×12s
Weekend: Every other weekend required
Experience: Minimum 1 year ED experience in a larger trauma setting
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS
License: WA or Compact RN license; willing to wait for license
EMR: EPIC
Trauma: ER/Trauma Center
Patient Ratio: 1:3, up to 1:4 for low-acuity patients
Patient Volume: Approximately 170–200 patients/day
Patient Population: Cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, abdominal pain, mental health
Triage: Travelers may be assigned triage after completing a triage test
Floating: None
Call/Standby: None
Holiday: November/December holidays required; manager may consider 1 of 3 holidays depending on unit needs
RTO: No RTO during the first full week of assignment
BSN: Not required
Scrubs: Any professional color
Contract: 13 weeks
Interview: Manager will conduct a phone interview
Duo candidates: Same schedule/shift cannot be accommodated for both candidates
Orientation: 1 day compliance + 1 day department orientation

Key requirement: Recent ED experience in a larger trauma setting, with all required certifications and EPIC experience.
