Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg/Telemetry unit. The RN will care for patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and post-operative conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform comprehensive assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Manage IVs, central lines, PICC lines, ports, and blood products.
• Provide cardiac monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Care for patients with sepsis, COPD, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, and other medical conditions.
• Provide wound care and manage surgical drains and wound vacs.
• Care for patients requiring oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and other respiratory support.
• Manage post-operative and orthopedic patients.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic.
• Float within competency as needed.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• Epic experience required.
• Med/Surg experience required; telemetry experience preferred.
• Strong IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration skills.
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
