Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room to provide high-quality care in a busy urban Level I Trauma Emergency Department. The RN will care for patients across all age groups, from neonates and pediatrics to adults and geriatrics, with a wide range of emergency and trauma conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care and patient assessments.
• Care for medical, trauma, neurological, respiratory, psychiatric, and pediatric patients.
• Perform triage and respond to urgent and emergent conditions.
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and blood products.
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, ventilated patients, chest tubes, and respiratory support.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform 12-lead EKGs.
• Care for patients with trauma, overdose, stroke, spinal injuries, burns, seizures, and other critical conditions.
• Provide procedural sedation and assist with emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of ED experience.
• Prior experience in an urban Level I Trauma ED is required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required.
• TNCC and CPI preferred.
• Strong trauma, emergency, cardiac, and critical-care skills.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Local candidates accepted.
• Epic experience preferred.
