Travel Med/Surg RN – Days/Nights 12-hour shifts: 7a–7p | 7p–7a 36 hrs/week 50-mile radius rule — unexpired driver’s license required at submission BLS required Epic EMR Patient Ratio: 1:5–6, based on acuity Every other weekend: Sat/Sun Holiday rotation with permanent staff Royal Blue scrubs Telemetry: Phillips monitors; RN must be able to read & interpret strips RT available 24/7; CPAP/BiPAP managed by RT IV team available house-wide during designated hours In-house pharmacy 24/7 Common patient population: CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, COPD, chronic renal disease, Ortho & Oncology No false nails 1–2 shifts of unit orientation with a preceptor Traveler-friendly unit Manager may accommodate requests to work primarily on 6N and will make every effort to block schedule when requested If floating to Critical Care, travelers receive Med/Surg or Stepdown-level patients Interested? Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
