Registered Nurse – NICU

Specialty: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
License: Active State or Compact RN License
Certifications: BLS and NRP required — expiration dates must be provided

 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III/IV NICU setting.

The NICU RN will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality neonatal care and must be proficient in neonatal resuscitation, ventilator management, and family-centered care.

 

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
  • Possible on-call requirements
  • Floating to similar-acuity areas may be required
  • Compliance/onboarding typically takes 4–6 weeks
  • Voice interview and Nurse Manager interview are mandatory
  • Any missed shifts due to callouts must be made up

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or a Compact RN License
  • BLS certification – Required
  • NRP certification – Required
  • Experience with neonatal resuscitation and ventilator management
  • Ability to provide family-centered care in a high-acuity NICU environment
