Position Overview

The RN II provides coordinated, high-quality nursing care to patients or an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process.

The RN supervises and directs assigned nursing staff, coordinates care with other healthcare disciplines, and utilizes critical thinking, professional judgment, supervisory discretion, and independent decision-making to provide safe and effective patient care.

This ICU provides intensive and comprehensive care and monitoring for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients experiencing shock, trauma, and other life-threatening conditions. The unit supports a diverse population of critically ill medical, surgical, and cardiac patients.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Critical Care/ICU Experience: Required
• EPIC Experience: Required
• BSN: Preferred
• Acute Care Facility Experience: Preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN License in the state of practice: Required
• BLS certification: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
• PALS: Preferred

• 12-hour shifts
