Description

RN – Emergency Room | Travel Contract

Location: Middlebury, VT | Unit: Emergency Department
Duration: 16 Weeks

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 36 hrs/week
Patient Ratio: 1:4 | Trauma Level: IV

Requirements: 2+ years ED experience | 1 completed travel assignment

required

Epic experience within past 2 years REQUIRED |

AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NRP, NIHSS & TNCC required

Charge experience preferred.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients from newborns through geriatrics
• Perform ESI triage, patient assessments, IV insertion, EKGs and medication/drip administration
• Manage procedural sedation, restraints, transports and emergency interventions
• Monitor and stabilize patients requiring higher-level trauma, stroke or cardiac care
• Assist with ambulance transports when required
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and use Pyxis for medication management
• Collaborate with physicians, PA/NPs, ED technicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support STEMI, stroke and trauma patients prior to transfer to higher-level facilities
