PCU RN
Location: Columbus, OH 43210
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day | 3x12 hours | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience with strong PCU skills — Required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates with only 1 year of experience require manager review; no auto-offer
- BLS and ACLS — Required
- EPIC experience — Required
- IV start and telemetry experience — Required
- Previous charge experience — Preferred
- Teaching hospital experience — Preferred
Description:
Hours: 36 hours/week
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3–1:4
Weekend: Weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays
Float: Required within OSU organization
Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including renal, hepatology, cardiology, and pulmonary diagnoses. The unit currently operates at a medical-surgical level and is transitioning toward a PCU-level setting. Responsibilities include IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, central/PICC line management, respiratory care, wound care, blood product administration, and management of heparin and insulin drips.
