Description

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography, cardiovascular technology, or diagnostic medical sonography program.
Current BLS certification.
Active echocardiography credential through ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) as required by the facility.
Strong experience performing independent adult transthoracic echocardiograms.
Proficiency with 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, spectral Doppler, and associated cardiac measurements.
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiovascular disease processes.
Ability to recognize technically limited studies and obtain alternative views when necessary.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
