Description

Position: LPN Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse (Unit: A7 West Med Surg Tele)

Shift: Day Shift (06:45 – 19:15)
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend, or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Unit & Patient Care Details

Unit Info: 18-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit (A7 West)
Patient Ratios: 6:1 (Goal is for the charge nurse to be out of staffing to assist)
Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge RN, 2–3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1–2 PCTs, 1 unit secretary
EMR / Equipment: Cerner Powerchart; Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDs, prima-fits/primo-fits
Common Procedures / Skills: Peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and standard medical-surgical/telemetry skills
Floating: Travelers float before permanent staff to other medical/surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients

Requirements & Qualifications

Required Experience: Medical/surgical nursing experience and telemetry
Preferred Experience: Charge nurse experience
Required Certifications: BLS
Dress Code: All navy, all white, or white top and navy pants (navy or white undershirts if needed)
